Every Hero Must Begin Somewhere
Congratulations, Junior Ninja!
You have received your invitation to the Junior Ninja Academy, taken the Junior Ninja Oath, and learned the teachings of Master Kodo. Now it is time for your very first mission.
Don’t worry! Every great hero begins with one small act of kindness.
Master Kodo has chosen a very special mission for you because he knows that true heroes aren’t measured by their strength—they are measured by their kindness and compassion.
Today, you will complete your very first Ninja Mission.
Mission #1 – Choose Kindness
Your mission is simple.
Complete one act of kindness for someone else.
It doesn’t have to be something big. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.
Here are a few ideas to help you complete your mission:
- Help Mom or Dad with a chore.
- Tell someone why they’re special to you.
- Help clean up without being asked.
- Read a story with a younger sibling.
- Help carry groceries.
- Draw a picture for someone you love.
- Give someone a compliment.
- Share one of your toys or games.
- Help a friend who may be having a difficult day.
- Pick up litter and help keep your community beautiful.
Remember, kindness is one of the greatest superpowers a hero can have.
Parents and Guardians
This mission is designed to be completed together as a family.
After your child completes their first Ninja Mission, take a moment to talk about what they learned.
Ask questions like:
- How did helping someone make you feel?
- How do you think it made the other person feel?
- Why is kindness important?
- What other ways can we help others every day?
These conversations are an important part of becoming a Junior Ninja.
